The Green Archers look to go 2-0 as they collide with UP tomorrow.
UP is coming off an inspiring opening day win over UE last Saturday. With a revamped coaching staff and renewed support from the community, it appears that the Maroons are on a mission to prove to the entire league that they are no longer the pushovers that we have come to know them for. Their first game is more or less an indication of the kind of intense and passionate play they will bring this season.
Expect the Maroons to do the same trapping defense done by NU on the Green Archers. They will look to score on transition since they don’t have much offensive options down low. Cheick Kone is their only legit big guy and though he made a good showing in his debut, he is not in the level of an Abdul or Aroga that can command a double team.
The Green Archers’ advantage is in the frontcourt so we look to see Jason, Prince and Abu to dominate the glass and have their way inside.
La Salle is expected to win here. UP may try to put up a good fight but the Green Archers’ depth will carry them through in this game.
