Despite loss to Adamson, it’s still a Final 4-ward march for the Green Archers

Ok so the Green Archers may have lost their final game of the elimination and will be seeded fourth in the semis. To be honest it’s no bigdeal. The rankings at this point are immaterial as both La Salle and Adamson, aside from not having the twice-to-beat advantage are clueless as to who they will match up against. The top position in the standings is still up for grabs and we shall know this Saturday night as to who between FEU and Ateneo will be our opponent. Whoever it will be, beating them twice will be a tall order.

The Archers had a considerably good start and even led by 12 early in the ballgame. But the Falcons’ stepped-up their offensive execution and enabled to take the lead towards the end of the first half. La Salle was caught off guard by the Adamson’s torrid shooting to start the second half as they faced a 14-point deficit at the end of three quarters. The team staged a late comeback but several botched plays and missed free throws down the stretch pretty much sealed their fate.

Well that’s pretty much about it as far as this game is concerned. It would have been nice though if the Archers won this one. Aside from the confidence-boost, it would have more or less guaranteed a third place finish and a trophy to boot. Unfortunately this was not the case so they should now just leave this game behind them and focus on the bigger challenge ahead.

See you in the Final Four!
