The De La Salle University Geen Archers lost in sorry fashion to the FEU Tamaraws, 93-75, on Sunday night at the Mall of Asia Arena.
It was the second straight loss for La Salle, who also dropped their game to the UP Fighting Maroons last Wednesday.
La Salle played it close with FEU for two and a half quarters, but a 20-0 run by FEU turned out to be the difference in the ball game.
Jeron Teng had one of his best collegiate games as he finished with 29 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists. Andrei Caracut put up 13 points, while Julian Sargent had 11 markers and 11 boards.
Prince Rivero had eight points, but Jason Perkins struggled with only five. Rookies Lorenzo Navarro and Larry Muyang had three points each.
Rookie Joshua Torralba had his debut game wearing the green and white and made one lone field goal – a layup in the second period. Jollo Go scored one point, while Abu Tratter, Thomas Torres, and Abu Tratter all went scoreless.
DLSU shot 37% from the field but allowed FEU to make 48% of their shots, including 41% from three-point distance. The Green Archers were also beat on the boards, 53-40, and in the assists department, 22-8.
La Salle returns to action on Sunday against the Adamson Falcons.
